There are many ways to protect your building from fire.

In addition to fire alarms and sprinkler systems, Safe Spray offers a range of specialist services, when a basic system won’t give you the protection you need:

Foam and gas suppression systems

In some cases, water isn’t an appropriate way to extinguish a fire, such as in computer server rooms or places with irreplaceable items, such as museums or archival storage facilities. For these cases we can install gas systems, which extinguish fire without water or other fire retardants.

For areas with flammable liquids, foam may be a better option. Foam blocks oxygen from fuelling the fire, as well as cools down the fuel to stop the fire spreading. Different applications require different types of foam, and we can advise you on the best option for your protection.

Emergency systems

Making sure that people get out of the building safely is top priority when it comes to fire protection. We can design and provide a range of audio and lighting systems that sound a warning to evacuate, as well as light the way to safety.

Hydrants

Depending on the size of your site you may need or wish to install a dedicated fire hydrant, which fire services can connect to quickly and easily.

Modern buildings will use either a wet riser or a charged riser. A wet riser is permanently connected to a high-pressure water supply, with valves spaced at regular intervals that fire services can connect their hoses to. A charged riser places outlets around the building, which fire services pump water into from their appliances.

Extinguishers and fire hose reels

Even a small fire will spread quickly. Having an extinguisher or fire hose reel on hand can make the difference between a minor inconvenience and major damage.

Most commercial premises could benefit from these, as trained staff can swiftly deal with a small incident.

Safe Spray can provide appropriate extinguishers and hose reels, as well as keep them up-to-date on their maintenance and testing in line with building code regulations.
